This month, the presentation will be an overview of Lubbock theatre companies, mostly in the 1950s-1970s, that provided South Plains residents ample opportunities to experience and participate in the dramatic arts. They'll discuss the advocacy of the Theatre Guild, as well as the groundwork laid in the 1920s-1940s that enabled the post-WWII successes of the Lubbock Theatre Centre and the Hayloft Theatre. Presented by Dr. Elissa Stroman, Oral History Archivist of the Southwest Collection/Special Collections Library.
