**Open Mic**

Hi friends. Really excited to get back into these evenings after a bit of a hiatus.

What's the deal?
It's a super cozy open mic night.

We set up a snug, warm, cocooned, ambient space in the upstairs of Vogelmorn.

You bring along anything that feels interesting to share in front of a warm and welcoming audience. A song, a poem, a story, read to us from your diary, present a piece of art you've created, a short skit, tell us about your weirdest dream - anything goes (there's rumour we may get a tap dancing routine at this edition).

All forms of expression are welcome, light-hearted or profound, your own creation or borrowed inspiration, complete amateur or seasoned performer. Take the opportunity to be seen in whatever you want to share.

Or, equally important - come and contribute as an audience that welcomes and holds the vulnerability of expression.

There'll be hot drinks available and we'll break for a light dinner halfway through.

Practical things:

*If you're considering performing/sharing, come early and sign up to make sure you get a spot. There'll be limited performance spots (10 - 12) to keep us at a reasonable finishing time.*

Time:
Doors open at 5:30pm. Please aim to arrive by 5:45pm to give you time to make a drink and settle in before we kick off.
We'll start sharing/performances at 6:00pm.
Kai break at 7:15pm
Finish approx 9:30pm

Bring:
- snacks for the show, or something to contribute to kai in the intermission (main meal will be basic dahl)
- cosy things like cushions and blankets
- any instruments/props you need
- NOT alcohol. Vogelmorn are licensed which means we cannot bring alcohol to this event. Please don't bring.

$$ Dollah dollah billz $$
$10 waged to cover the venue hire and food. Please bring cash. I can provide a bank account if you forget.

Get involved!
Please message me (David) if you'd be keen to volunteer with any of the following:
- Set up/pack down - we need extra hands to help set up the space and pack it down at the end - involves arriving an hour early
- Food - Anyone keen to cook us up a big, super basic dahl and rice?? The cost will be covered by the event
- Decor/Snug - Can you bring lamps, fairy lights, bean bags or foam mattresses?
