The Prince and The Peach is an Indie/Americana band based out of Sugar Camp, Wisconsin. Founded by Robert Mesun and Suzanne Johnson, the two have been performing together since 1996, collaborating in various bands, covering a wide range of musical genres, and writing their own original songs. In 2018, they decided to focus exclusively on crafting original music, leading to the creation of their debut full-length album, The Ghost of Me, which was released in the fall of 2020.

When the pandemic hit and venues went dark, The Prince and The Peach refused to stop creating. They released a self-titled EP in the fall of 2022, marking the next chapter in their musical journey. With years of performing together, Robert and Suzanne are incredibly in tune with one another, delivering live performances that are as unique as they are energetic. Each show is infused with playful banter, comedic humor, and a deep connection to the audience, making for an entertaining and lively experience every time.

In 2022, the band reunited with long-time drummer Brian Blettner, a founding member from the original band that started in 1995. Brian’s return prompted Amy Holewinski to transition from drums to keyboards, solidifying the band’s sound in a way that felt like a homecoming. This new lineup gave The Prince and The Peach the perfect balance of energy and musicality.

In 2023, the band earned recognition at the Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) awards, where they were nominated for New Band of the Year and their song "I Wish You Enough" was a finalist in the Folk Song of the Year category.

In 2025 we were they were WAMI nominated for Album of the Year/Folk Category – Brighter Days, Male Vocalist – Robert Mesun, Female Vocalist – Suzanne Johnson,Performer of the Year/Folk Americana, and Album Artwork – Brighter Days

Known for their versatility, The Prince and The Peach can adapt to any performance setting, from intimate acoustic shows to full-band experiences. Whether it’s a cozy venue or a lively festival, the band brings their dynamic sound and infectious energy wherever they go.
