As a next step in the Boundary Review Process for the 2026–2027 School Year, the 2025 Boundary Review Report was presented during the July 17 Board of Education meeting and includes three initial scenarios, including maps and supporting data. Details on Community Engagement Meetings and an online survey are below.

Community Engagement Meetings
These meetings will provide an opportunity for community members to understand the scenarios in the Boundary Review Report, ask questions and provide feedback, which will be considered during development of the Superintendent’s recommendation to the Board of Education scheduled to be presented on September 11, 2025.

Community meetings are open to the public and there is no registration. Interpretation services will be available in Spanish, Korean and Chinese. To request interpretation in another language, please email aW50ZXJwcmV0aW5nc2VydmljZXMgfCBoY3BzcyAhIG9yZw==.

Community meetings will be held:

Monday, July 21, 6–7 p.m., Wilde Lake Middle School Cafeteria, 10481 Cross Fox Lane, Columbia

Wednesday, July 30, 6–7 p.m., Burleigh Manor Middle School Cafeteria, 4200 Centennial Lane, Ellicott City

Thursday, August 7, 7–8 p.m., Harper’s Choice Middle School Cafeteria, 5450 Beaverkill Road, Columbia

The community engagement meetings will be facilitated by Citygate GIS, a Board of Education-approved independent consultant that will serve as a facilitator throughout the remainder of the Boundary Review process.

Online Survey
Through an online survey provided by Citygate GIS, community members are invited to provide feedback on the three scenarios included in the Boundary Review Report. The survey will be open through Friday, August 15.

Next Steps
Following the Superintendent’s recommendation in September, the Board of Education will hold work sessions and provide additional opportunities for feedback, including public hearings, email and written letters. A final decision on any changes in school boundaries for the 2026-2027 school year will be made by the Board in November 2025.
