โจ What to Expect
Meet your female guide at the Glenn Highway Knik River Bridge near Reflection Lake. After check-in, weโll shuttle to the historic Old Knik Bridge to launch. From there, weโll float the slow-moving, glacier-fed Knik River back to our starting point.
This valley, carved by ancient glaciers, winds through the stunning Palmer Hay Flats Game Refuge and is home to moose, eagles, salmon, and more. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, but breathtaking views of the Chugach Mountains absolutely are. ๐
While mostly mellow, there will be some light paddling to navigate the riverโs braided channels. Itโs beginner-friendly, fun, and totally worth it!
