Most people know that yellow + red = orange, red + blue = purple and blue + yellow = green. But, where do you go from there? What do you use to make a light periwinkle blue or a deep olive green? What colors do not mix well together at all?
Come learn the basics of color mixing, how colors can work together, what primary, secondary and tertiary colors are...
Artist Teri will first demonstrate how to mix and paint your own color wheel. From there, we will expand upon the basics by experimenting with color mixing while keeping track of the results on a color diary. During this session we will also place blocks of our favorite color combinations on a 10x10 canvas for a completed art piece to take home.
Mixing your own colors takes practice and an understanding of how colors work together. It can be very satisfying and another skill to add to your creative journey. The possibilities are endless!
