Based on the novel by Amanda Brown and the adored MGM movie starring Reese Witherspoon, Legally Blonde follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams.

Elle Woods appears to have it all. Her life is turned upside down when her boyfriend dumps her so he can attend Harvard Law. Determined to get him back, Elle ingeniously charms her way into the prestigious law school. While there, she struggles with peers, professors and her ex. With the support of some new friends, though, Elle quickly realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world.

- Rehearsals will be Monday – Thursday through August 22; thereafter, Monday – Thursday evenings and one weekend slot slot per cast/crew availability
- Age range and gender of characters is to appear on stage as (Parent/Guardian approval required for minors’ participation)
- Seeking all ethnicities and cultural backgrounds for all roles
- Some roles require onstage intimacy; production team includes a Consent-Forward Director
- Some roles require onstage action with a dog
- Please prepare 32 bars of a contemporary musical theatre song that shows off your vocal range and personality. Please bring prepared sheet music (an accompanist will be provided) or an instrumental track on a device with a 3.5mm audio jack/aux.
- If auditioning as a dancer only (limited roles available), please be prepared to sing “Happy Birthday” a cappella solo or in a group.
- No prepared reading or monologue required; please be prepared for cold readings from the script (instruction, support and time with material will be provided)

EMMETT FORREST

A smart and sensitive law student who takes Elle under his wing. He is charming, quirky, lovable, and friendly.

PAULETTE BONAFONTÉ

Vocal Range: Mezzo-Soprano Belt
The funny owner of Hair Affair, she is brash, caring and optimistic. She and Elle help each other achieve their dreams.

PROFESSOR CALLAHAN

Vocal Range: Tenor
A pompous, smooth, authoritative, and manipulative law professor. He has a reputation for being an extremely strict and tough professor and a highly successful lawyer. He will do anything to get what he wants, regardless of morality.

WARNER HUNTINGTON III

Vocal Range: Tenor
A good-looking but shallow and pompous guy who breaks Elle’s heart and heads off to Harvard Law. He cares deeply about what people think of him.

VIVIENNE KENSINGTON

A smart, savvy and uptight law student, and Warner’s fiance, who initially dismisses Elle but grows to be her friend.

BROOKE WYNDAM

An exercise video tycoon who is an alum of Elle’s sorority. She is energetic and charismatic yet currently on trial for her husband’s murder. REQUIRES SKILL/ENDURANCE ENOUGH TO PERFORM AEROBICS WHILE SINGING.

Enid is a strong, passionate and an outwardly feminist law student at Harvard who is skeptical of Elle and eventually becomes her friend. REQUIRES GREAT COMEDIC TIMING.

SERENA, MARGOT AND PILAR

Elle’s trio of best friends and sorority sisters who help her navigate the story by acting as a Greek Chorus. Serena is an energetic cheerleader, Margot is seemingly dim-witted and boy-crazy, and Pilar is the sassy and sensible one.

The brainiest and quirkiest sorority sister in Delta Nu who helps Elle study to get into Harvard Law. Featured solo in “What You Want”.
