🎉 ANNOUNCEMENT: Dende Nation at @nhcarnivalldn 2025! 🎉
We’re thrilled to announce that Dende Nation has received funding from Arts Council England @aceagrams for this year’s Notting Hill Carnival project themed. “Roots of Community”
This powerful celebration of Afro-Brazilian culture, resistance, and joy will come alive through a dynamic mix of live drumming, dance, voice, and vibrant costume!
🥁 Presencial drumming workshops & parades will echo through North & South East London, led by our brilliant Musical Director @mac_dende .
💃🏽 DANCE will be a central heartbeat:
• @adrianooliveiradanza adrianooliveiradanza running presencial sessions in London
• @irineunogueira (yes, our brother is coming all the way from Munich) and Hawah Bunduka @hawahsambafro joining us from Barcelona, will lead vibrant online dance sessions!
Each guiding their own dance sections.
🌀 From Salvador, Bahia, we are honoured to welcome:
• @thaismunizthais of @turbante.se , weaving ancestral power into style and storytelling.
• @jelnegromont , who joins our beloved @bea_shantifa_music to share powerful vocals and Afro-Brazilian soul.
🎭 Costumes will be created by the sustainable, circular-economy-minded @sustentacarnaval , championing creativity with conscience.
🎬 Produced by the amazing team at @gandaiaorg , this is more than a Carnival band, it’s a living, moving tribute to heritage, roots, and radical joy.

Roots of Community, in the streets, online, and in spirit.
