Society Hall is thrilled to welcome three fabulous singer-songwriters, each a star in her own right, to share the stage at Society Hall, on Sunday, July 27 at 7:30 PM! Emily Scott Robinson, Gabrielle Louise and Caitlin Cannon are touring together and swapping their amazing songs and voices - it will be a night to remember! Doors will open at 6:30. Tickets are $20.00 and are available at the link below or in Alamosa at the Green Spot. The concert will also stream on the Society Hall Facebook page and You-Tube channel.

It's hard to imagine or describe what these three amazing artists can and will do on the same stage. Emily says, “We sing on each other’s songs, tell stories, and summon the spirit of the original trio— Dolly, Linda and Emmylou. You can’t beat the value of three fantastic songwriters for the price of one!” And we at Society Hall certainly agree! Here's a little more about each artist -

With an angelic voice and lyrics laid bare, Emily Scott Robinson is pioneering her own brand of roots music – she calls it Southern Gothic folk . She enchants her audiences with stories and songs that are equal parts playful, darkly funny, heart-wrenching and redemptive. Emily was a resident of Alamosa in 2010 when she moved here from her North Carolina home to serve a year as a volunteer at La Puente, and quickly made many friends and fans while sharing her music around the area at community celebrations and events. Alamosa musician and Society Hall board member Don Richmond remarks, “Emily has a voice of crystalline clarity reminiscent of a young Nanci Griffith, yet totally her own, full of warmth, depth, and life – evoking the richness of the fertile musical and literary legacy of her Carolina roots.”

With a quarter million miles under her belt and counting, North Carolina native Emily Scott Robinson travels the dusty highways of America's wild country, capturing the stories of the people she meets and expertly crafting them into songs. Robinson received critical acclaim for her debut album Traveling Mercies-- Rolling Stone named it one of the “40 Best Country and Americana Albums of 2019.” In 2021, Robinson signed with Oh Boy records, the label founded by the legendary John Prine, and released her follow-up album American Siren. It made numerous “Best of 2021” lists including NPR, Rolling Stone, American Songwriter, and No Depression. In 2022, Robinson released a collaboration for theater called Built on Bones, a song cycle written for the Witches of Shakespeare's Macbeth, featuring artists Alisa Amador and Violet Bell.

Gabrielle Louise is a songwriter and storyteller living in the mountains of Colorado. Half her time she's touring and making records, and the other half she's gardening, watercolor painting, and writing songs on her porch.

Her live show is honest, introspective and engaging. Gabrielle’s sound is anchored deeply in folk and Americana, but undeniably drawn to rich harmonies and melodic adventurism. She has the earthy feel of early Joni Mitchell while also veering into the spirited and versatile delivery of fellow genre-hopping artist Eva Cassidy.

The daughter of two vagabond musicians who toured the country in an old airstream trailer (children in-tow), Louise inherited the predisposition to wanderlust and song. She has been described “a modern day troubadour noted for her poignant lyrics and lush voice.” Known for her authenticity and candor on stage, Gabrielle is notably more soul than sparkle. Her performances are present and sincere, a professional presentation of her private creative world.

Caitlin Cannon’s songwriting expertly balances humor and vulnerability, satire and sincerity. Her 2024 EP, Beggar, earned acclaim for tracks like “Amarillo and Little Rock” and “Waiting,” a deeply moving song that centers on her brother’s 35-year to date incarceration, which also reappears on Love Addict in demo form. If Beggar was the prelude, Love Addict is the crescendo—fully realized and unapologetic in its arrival.

Critics have taken notice. Saving Country Music has called her “a songwriter for the broken, the downtrodden, the losers…She sings about real sh— that most other songwriters don't have the guts to broach.” Early praise for Love Addictfrom Country Music People hails it as “an Americana triumph, packed with edgy irreverence, wit, and sharp, cutting lyrics we first encountered on her debut, The TrashCannon Album.” While arguably more 'vibey' than some of Cannon’s earlier work, Love Addict still delivers her signature sneak attacks with a wink on songs like “Dr. Dealer” and “Jesus Is My Lover.”
