This event was created for members of the Mason County Community Seed Library.
Here at the Ludington Library, members can chat about gardening and preparing the fresh food produced from their own backyards. What worked well in your garden? What didn’t? This is a place for experts to share their tips and tricks with beginner gardeners and everyone in between.
Members can swap their harvest. Do you have an abundance of beans and not enough squash? Perhaps you’ll find someone who has squash to trade!
You may also swap seeds, recipes, or even a prepared dish. Too many lettuce seeds? Bring ‘em in! Your favorite cucumber dill dip? Come share the recipe! Zucchini muffins that could win a prize? We’d love to give it a try!
Bringing something to swap is suggested but not required. The idea of these monthly events is to create and build community, help feed our families and friends, and teach younger generations the importance of homegrown food!
