A truly sensational route in a wonderful & magnificent setting. Good level of fitness required.
GRADE: Strenuous - involves some sections of easy grade 1 scrambling.
TIME: 6.5 hrs + DISTANCE: 14km
We will begin our walk along a well worn track into the Hags Glen and the heart of “The Reeks”.
We follow the track as it leads us into spectacular mountain scenery and amongst “The Reeks” proper. The range is extremely rugged with fine knife-edged ridges, high cliffs and fast running rivers. This route is a little more "Off the beaten Track" and brings you amongst some spectacular scenery with plently scrambling to make it interesting!
A pleasant and easy descent with sublime mountain vistas down the “Zig-Zag” path with weary legs and a great sense of accomplishment we make our way back along the path out of The Hags Glen. What a truly magnificent day in majestic mountains!
