Food Safety Event w/ USDA Canning guide, Canning Utensils Distribution

As a celebration of National Farmers Market Week, Lincoln Park Farmers Market will do a do a Food Safety event with a presentation on canning of tomatoes by Sophia Zollner of the MSU Extension Center. Also, while supplies last, a distribution of the USDA Canning Guide, 3-piece canning utensil set of jar funnel, jar lifter, and bubble remover / headspace tool.

The Food Safety event is possible because Lincoln Park Farmers Market was awarded the 2024 Food Safety Training and Education Fund grant by the Michigan Farmers Market Association (MIFMA) of Lansing, Michigan.
