Expoziția 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑑𝑒𝑒𝑝𝑒𝑠𝑡 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑟𝑠 propune o reflecție profundă asupra modului în care memoria culturală, tehnologia și formele naturale pot coexista într-un limbaj vizual contemporan. În centrul demersului artistic se află o reflecție poetică asupra țesăturilor tradiționale – modele geometrice transmise prin meșteșug feminin de-a lungul generațiilor – care, în lucrările Lilianei Mercioiu Popa, devin structuri de gândire, matrici simbolice și instrumente de cartografiere a unei relații mai subtile cu lumea.

Artista utilizează algoritmi inspirați din modelarea computațională – precum automatele celulare – pentru a genera noi compoziții vizuale care evocă atât regularitatea abstractă a științei, cât și vitalismul organic al formelor naturale. În acest spațiu de întâlnire dintre tradiție și tehnologie, între gest moștenit și simulare digitală, expoziția configurează o viziune în care grila, ritmul și repetiția dobândesc funcție meditativă, aproape ritualică.

La final, sărbătorim împreună cu un pahar de spumant și împărtășim impresii despre lucrările din expoziție.

Join us for a special interactive tour of the exhibition 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐬, guided by artist 𝐋𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐢𝐮 𝐏𝐨𝐩𝐚 and curator 𝐌𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐞𝐚𝐜-𝐕𝐥𝐚̆𝐝𝐮𝐭̦𝐢.

The exhibition 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐬 proposes a profound reflection on how cultural memory, technology and natural forms can coexist in a contemporary visual language. At the center of the artistic approach is a poetic reflection on traditional weavings - geometric patterns passed down through generations of women's craftsmanship - which, in Liliana Mercioiu Popa's works, become structures of thought, symbolic matrices and tools for mapping a more subtle relationship with the world.

The artist uses algorithms inspired by computational modeling - like cellular automata - to generate new visual compositions that evoke both the abstract regularity of science and the organic vitalism of natural forms. In this space of encounter between tradition and technology, between inherited gesture and digital simulation, the exhibition configures a vision in which the grid, the rhythm and the repetition acquire a meditative, almost ritualistic function.
