Join us on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025 at the Black Powder Tavern starts with dinner at 6pm as we welcome Jim Segrave-Daly, who will be speaking about Revolutionary War hero Daniel Morgan. Our lectures are very popular and have sold out in the past so please make your reservations now. Please arrive early if you can.
From humble beginnings to his adopted home in the Shenandoah Valley, Daniel Morgan became one of the great military tacticians of the American Revolution. His military career began as a recruit for the 1755 expedition to Fort Duquesne and continued through the Revolution at the siege of Boston, the fight at Saratoga, was with Washington at Valley Forge, and with Nathaniel Greene for the Southern Campaign. Join the discussion about the man George Washington called “a good and valuable officer”, whose contributions to America’s victory in the Revolution were crucial.
