An alumnus of Sun Prairie High School, Ambassador Loftus served as the longest democratic speaker of the Wisconsin State Assembly prior to serving as the chair of President Clinton's WI campaign. He served as the U.S. Ambassador to Norway from November 1993 through December 1997. His service is the subject of a current Museum exhibition.
