Up-Psychled & The Wye at The Strines Nightingale

The Wye – 8.00pm
Folk-pop harmony classics and originals from trio Danielle, Emma, & Kate. Springing up from the local Buxton music scene, The Wye took their name from the river that runs through it (perhaps they should’ve been called Buxton Spring?). Think Joni Mitchell, CSN&Y, The Staves, First Aid Kit, and all that malarky.
Up-Psychled – 9.30pm
Three-piece psychedelic band featuring Will Hawthorne, Adrian Sherwood, and Matt Holder. Fresh from their recent shows at Buxton Fringe Festival, Up-Psychled focus on the classic anthology Nuggets – a handful of numbers from the Lenny Kaye-compiled album showcasing American Garage and Psychedelia, inspired by the 1960s British Invasion – with a smattering of British classics to complete the vibe. Far out, man!
Tickets £5, available from the venue, online at strinesnightingale.com or willhawthorne.co.uk.
