Plastic Free Whanganui is a non-political group of concerned Whanganui citizens who wish to raise awareness about the importance of reducing single-use plastic.
The group is offering two bag-making workshops, on the next two Sundays, as part of Plastic Free July.
Participants are invited to Sustainable Whanganui’s Envirohub at 23 Drews Ave on the 20th and 27th between 2 and 4pm.
Patterns and donated fabric are provided by Sustainable Whanganui. Participants may bring their own, and their own machine.
Plastic Free Whanganui has been actively promoting the reduction of single-use plastic during Plastic Free July for ten years. The idea is that people learn new habits which benefit the environment all year round.
The group welcomes new energy.
For details about the workshops and the group, please phone Margi Keys 0274 481 581.
