Watercolor Pencil Workshop

Watercolor pencils with water brushes are a fun, portable way to blend drawing and painting, letting you practice your creative skills anywhere. This class will teach you how to work with this medium, and provide plenty of time for practice, tips and tricks. Bring your own art supplies, or use some of ours for a small additional fee.


Suggested materials list (can purchase locally at Beaux Arts Supply Store in Florence):

Watercolor pencils in assorted colors

HB & 2B drawing pencils

Eraser

water brush (special brush with hollow handle to hold liquid)

small-med size nylon or natural hair soft brushes

watercolor or mixed media paper/sketch pad

artist tape

(optional) masking fluid

(optional) waterproof ink drawing pens, Sharpies, or paint pens, assorted sizes

(optional) standard watercolor, Gouache, acrylic or white pigment paints/pens


About the Instructor: Sharon "Sunny" Hatter is a graphic and fine artist, illustrator and crafter with a passion for sharing her expertise with her favorite media. She has been involved with the Florence fine arts community and sharing her skills for many years, and has been teaching with SASS since 2024.
