Join Us in Prayer for the 2025-26 School Year
As August approaches and another school year beckons, the Denison Ministerial Alliance extends a heartfelt invitation to all believers in our community. We are called to come together in unity and prayer as we welcome the 2025-26 school year, recognizing that our children's education is not just an academic endeavor, but a spiritual journey that deserves our collective intercession.
On Sunday evening, August 10th, at 7:00 PM, we will gather at Heritage Park, located at 324 W Main St in Denison. This beautiful setting will serve as our starting point for an evening dedicated to lifting up our schools, our educators, and most importantly, our students in prayer.
Our time together will begin with communal prayer at Heritage Park, where voices will join as one, seeking God's blessing upon the upcoming school year. At 7:30 PM, we will transition from this unified gathering to individual DISD campuses throughout our district, carrying our prayers directly to the places where our children will learn and grow. Each campus will have a minister present to guide the prayer time and coordinate with participants, ensuring that every school receives focused spiritual attention. We will conclude our campus prayers at 8:00 PM, having covered our educational community in prayer.
The heart of our prayer focus centers on the dedicated school staff members who serve such vital roles in shaping our children's lives. These educators, administrators, and support staff pour themselves into their work daily, and we want to lift them up before the Lord. We will ask for God's wisdom and guidance for all educational leaders as they make decisions that impact our community's future, recognizing that their choices ripple through generations.
We also seek God's blessing of peace and success for every student during these formative years. Our prayer is that our children will experience growth and flourishing in all areas of their lives - physically, academically, emotionally, and spiritually - as they navigate this important season of development. These young lives represent our community's future, and we want to ensure they are covered in prayer as they face the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
This is more than just an event; it is an opportunity for our faith community to demonstrate our commitment to the next generation. Come join us as we commit our schools, educators, and students to God's care and protection for the year ahead.
Together, we can make a difference through the power of prayer.
