Born in Berea and raised amidst the rich oral traditions of Southeastern Kentucky, Anne Shelby brings to life tales inspired by her childhood and the heritage of Appalachia. Her stories, whether traditional folk tales or her unique "Tales with a Twist," attract audiences of all ages. Shelby's celebrated work includes the picture book The Man Who Lived in a Hollow Tree and the award-winning collection The Adventures of Molly Whuppie and Other Appalachian Folktales.
