Dachshunds of Connecticut – New Weekly Walk Location!
Hey everyone! Since dogs aren’t allowed on the beaches this time of year, we’re moving our weekly Dachshund Walk to a new spot: Penfield Mills Open Space in Fairfield.
When: Saturdays at 10:00 AM
Where: Penfield Mills Open Space (next to South Benson Marina), Fairfield, CT
About the park:
Penfield Mills is a beautiful 25-acre open space along Ash Creek, filled with history, salt marsh views, and walking trails—perfect for a dachshund stroll! It’s a peaceful, scenic spot where the pups can enjoy some fresh air and sniff out new adventures.
Important directions:
When you enter the South Benson Marina, there will be a guard at the gate. Just tell them you’re coming to visit the park, and they’ll let you in. Once you pass the gate, turn left to park. The park is open to the public, and there’s plenty of room to gather and walk together.
