Cyanotype Drop-In Workshop

In partnership with Nuit Blanche Regina, Neutral Ground’s member residents will present a cyanotype workshop at the gallery. Throughout the night there will be various installations and projects happening in Downtown Regina!
Join resident artists Elke Richter and Chantel Schultz in making fabric cyanotype patches using the late summer sun! Participants will create mixed media compositions using papercut silhouettes and botanical materials that will transform into beautiful cyanotype patches that can be sewn onto clothing, bags, and hats. The artists will help participants prepare and develop their cyanotypes, emphasizing the contrast between the botanical materials and the sharp silhouettes of the papercuts. The artists will also be available to chat about their own practices and work created during their residency, and the relationship between their work and nature.
Botanicals will be supplied, but participants are welcome to bring their own as well!
