Please join us this Thursday at 10:30am for a special summer concert! Prize winning pianist and conductor, Chee-Hang See returns to the series for a program of Liszt, Mozart, and Fanny Mendelssohn. Admission to the concert is free, and donations are always welcome!
The Remington Concert Series was founded by Emily Remington, an acclaimed musician and an important patron of the arts in Charleston. Miss Emily was organist/choirmaster at Grace Episcopal Church, taught at the College of Charleston, founded the Singers Guild (now the CSO chorus), played at the Spoleto Festival, and was on the original planning committee for the Piccolo Spoleto Festival. She was a resident of Franke for seventeen years and set up the concert series to be what she called “Carnegie Hall of the South”, featuring some of the best musicians in the city and guests from around the country. These monthly concerts are free admission and completely supported by your generous donations
