Oak Hill Collaborative is excited to announce it will host its first annual Community Connect Weekend with an E-Waste Collection Drive on Friday, August 8th from 11a.m. – 3 p.m. and a Vendor Fair Saturday, August 9th from 11a.m. – 3 p.m.
Through this event, OHC is excited to connect the community together in ways social media and online connectivity cannot.
The E-Waste Collection Drive is free for anyone to drop off technology that is unwanted, broken or needs recycling. Oftentimes old technology is abandoned and left to collect dust.
Items accepted for free include laptops, PCs, DVD players, MP3 players, gaming consoles, routers, hard drives, keyboards, wires, scanners, LCD monitors, servers, cameras and other technology.
GreenBoard IT will accept drop-offs of printers for $10, as well as TV’s and CRT monitors for $20. Only cash will be accepted, and all funds go toward the devices’ recycling fees. No refunds will be honored.
Items that cannot be dropped off include home medical equipment and kitchen appliances.
The following day, OHC will offer a free Vendor Fair to allow residents to meet with small businesses, area nonprofits, food trucks, and live music with local artists and DJs.
If interested in hosting a table for a business or organization, please fill out this form: https://forms.gle/2kahiAnFCZAYcJvS9
We hope you join us for a day of recycling and house cleaning, or a day of networking and shopping! Let’s disconnect old technology and connect better to those around us!
The Community Connect Weekend will be located at Oak Hill Collaborative’s Main Branch Location, 507 Oak Hill Avenue, Youngstown, Ohio.
For more information, please call OHC’s office at 330-406-0731.
