His work ventures into many facets of Black experience, exploring subjects like community, aging, masculinity, and resilience. In the new series featured in the exhibition "Around the Way Folk: Saints in Uncommon Places," he recreates classic works from art history, inserting Black protagonists into their iconic compositions.
