Celebrate the rich tapestry of the South Asian diaspora’s cultural contributions through dance, music, film, and visual storytelling with Oregon DesiFest! Exhibitions and showcases include: the installation “Echoes of the Diaspora: Threads of Memory and Movement;” dance demonstrations featuring Odissi, Bharatnatyam, Kathak, and Bollywood Hip Hop; live tabla and sitar performances; and sacred geometry of Tamil kōlam and Tibetan-and Nepal-inspired mandalas. The evening culminates with Paramita, a powerful short film by Kirthi Nath that beautifully intertwines spiritual and cultural reflections. www.paramitafilm.com
