Amoeba SF welcomes grunge rockers Raue for a live set and signing on Wednesday, August 6th at 5pm. Purchase their new EP, "too scared to explain" (out now via (Dis)Harmony Records), at Amoeba and get it signed after their set. This is a free, all-ages show.

Formed by powerhouse duo Paige Kalenian (she/her; guitar/vocals) and Jax Huckle (he/him; drums), California's Raue (pronounced Roo-AY) usher in their own era of raw, healing grunge that feels both timeless and forward-thinking. Hailing from Santa Cruz and now based in San Diego, Raue has quickly carved out a reputation for delivering electrifying performances and vulnerable, radiant rock. It's propelled them to significant achievements already, including tours alongside Taking Back Sunday, The Used, Plain White T's, Sawyer Hill, and more.

On their EP too scared to explain, Raue chase an arguably irrational pursuit of music with unapologetic intensity. Paige describes the record as “vulnerability through a poem,” blending themes of emotional limbo and self-reflection. Paige adds, “I want listeners to feel like we’re unmasked—raw, relatable, and real.”
