Celebrating Seward's WWII History and Fort McGilvray's Legacy

From 2pm - 5pm in the Museum and Community room.

WE INVITE YOU TO:

Dress up 1940s! Please bring a photograph of a loved one who served and any WWII artifact to display for the day (no munitions).

Potluck: Bring a fun vintage hors d'oeuvres (finger food) recipe to share!

2:00- 3:00pm - open mic to share a story or fun memory of your loved one

3:00-4:00pm - Kendra Earl Warlow will present, "In Front of the Frontlines of the Last Frontier" The story of Fort McGilvray and the boys of the 250th and 267th Coast Artillery Battalions. (There will be a virtual option to watch online)

4:00-4:30pm - showing of U.S. Army Corps film of the building of Fort McGilvray from 1941
