Paul Terrell Solo Exhibit

In July, our Vault Gallery will feature original sculptures by Virginia artist Paul Terrell.
This series of works were inspired from watercolor, ink and Conti crayon studies made in Paul's art journals during a recent cruise of the British Isles. Through these mixed media works, Paul is exploring the visual impact of water sky and land.
β
Miles of Isles features mixed media sculptures of Naked Raku fired ceramics, porcelain, sandblasted wood painted with milk paint, and an experiment with soda fired stoneware. Paul's ββ exploration of βNaked Rakuβ has all of the final slips and glazes break away like a broken egg shell. The results are the contrasting drawings defined by the rhythms of smoke.
There will be an opening reception on Friday, July 11 from 6pm to 8pm, where visitors can meet Paul and view his work. Please note the reception will be during the SECOND Friday festivities in downtown Manteo, and is free and open to the public. First Friday is rescheduled to Second Friday due to the holiday.β
Miles of Isles will be on display in the Vault Gallery July 4-26, 2025.
