About the Show
The Yellow Line is a gripping new work based on the true story of Tyson Tuala, a young Pasifika prison guard tasked with teaching haka inside one of Victoria’s most notorious correctional facilities. Blending theatre, haka, original music, and real voices, The Yellow Line explores identity, culture, justice, and the unseen lines we all walk. It’s a story of resilience and restoration—told by those who’ve lived it. Co-created by Berne-Lee "Nana" Edwards and Alaine Beek, and performed by a powerful ensemble of emerging Māori and Pasifika talent, this is theatre like you’ve never seen before.
