Boys of Winter: Ski Jumping in the North

Musical storyteller Bill Jamerson brings his fun stories of the history of Ski Jumping in Northern Wisconsin (including Rib Mountain) and Michigan's Upper Peninsula to the Historic Rib Mountain Chalet at Granite Peak Ski Area.
Jamerson presents a musical journey into the life of ski jumping during The Great Depression. There are songs, stories and videos about how boys learned ski jumping at an early age and later competed as teenagers in ski jumping tournaments across the Midwest. This program is full of fun and surprises. It was a time when there was little or no adult supervision and where there were no limits to the boy's desire to travel further and to jump farther!
