📸credit to the amazing @Candi Kintzley! Thank you!

What to expect at a Joel Conner Clinic? My friend Lisa Garr said it best and allowed me to share what she wrote;

Self Carriage (without tools or props... PROPER self carriage!)
Peace (mental, physical, emotional)
Empowerment
Confidence

These are just a few benefits horses can gain from their humans working with Joel Conner Horsemanship - interested in offering these things to YOUR horse??

Joel is a remarkable horseman & teacher whose dedication to empowering horses through classic vaquero technique is unparalleled. Following the traditions of Ray Hunt, Tom & Bill Dorrance, and Buck Brannaman, Joel is passionate about teaching new students and experienced hands alike.

There will be two classes offered, each spanning 3 hours each of the three days. Each class (groundwork or riding) is $475.00 for the 3 days. Auditors are welcome as well! The auditing fee is $30 for each day (15 & under free).

Groundwork 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Friday through Sunday:
Learn to be the leader that your horse desires while helping them to move in balance and become light and responsive to your feel.
(If we have enough people with horses prepared for riding we have the option to do groundwork leading into riding)

Riding 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday:
The same movements and principles from the groundwork session translate to working under saddle. Focus is on balance, lightness, and refinement.

Joel's clinics provide a fantastic opportunity to learn about building a responsive (rather than reactive) partnership with your horse in which they are willing, engaged, and content in their work. Giving your horse confidence in YOU as their leader will, in turn, offer them a sense of peace and safety - even enjoyment! - when you work together.

This horsemanship is ideal for EVERY riding discipline, from the casual trail rider to the dressage rider or barrel racer. If this sounds like the kind of partnership you are looking for, come on out and learn with us in August!

Please email or call the clinic sponsor, Bree Alsman, with any questions or for more information on signing up and reserving a spot in one or both of these classes.
A non-refundable deposit of $200.00 per class is required to reserve your spot!

Stalls for day use are $10 per day
Stalls overnight are $15 per night.

Saturday evening we will have a BBQ (hamburgers and hot dogs) and are asking everyone to bring a side and/or drinks to share. (Special thanks to Julie Kean and her husband Donny for offering to BBQ!)

Please contact me with any questions! If this will be your first Clinic with Joel Im happy to chat on the phone and help you feel prepared! One of the BEST part of this horsemanship is the community it builds and the opportunity to meet with old and new friends!

I will post extra info and updates on this page so come back and check regularly! That being said I know facebook sometimes does funny things so if for some reason I don’t respond with any questions on here don’t be afraid to shoot me a text!
