Hike With A Naturalist - Last Splash Before Class

Join the JSU Field School at Canyon Mouth Park to celebrate the end of summer and Fee Free Day—park entry is completely free!
We’ll take a short, beginner-to-moderate hike with some uneven terrain, explore the river, and learn about watersheds and the macroinvertebrates that live in Little River. Be ready to get your feet wet—there’s a chance to cool off in the river as we search for aquatic bugs!

What to Bring:
- Shoes you don’t mind getting wet
- A change of clothes
- Water, sun protection, and a snack

- Leashed dogs and children welcome

Come hike with us every First Friday and Third Saturday throughout 2025.

Weather: As with all outdoor events, if it's raining/stormy or very poor trail conditions, we may have to cancel. If the weather is questionable, please check with the Canyon Center.
