Traditionally aligned with the summer solstice and the baidaj (saguaro fruit harvest), the O’odham New Year marks a time of renewal and gratitude.

This is not a ceremonial event, but a contemporary community gathering to celebrate the new year. There will be O’odham and Piipaash social dancing, as well as Waila and dancing throughout the night.
