Join us to learn more about reptiles and amphibians with our guest, Andrew Heaton!
He is a conservation biologist at the Grand Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (NERR). His research and natural resource management interests include long-term monitoring of plant, bird, and herpetofauna (reptiles and amphibians) communities in pine savannas and estuaries, and their responses to habitat management and restoration.
Prior to his time at NERR, he was involved in a variety of research projects along the Gulf Coast, including the ecology/conservation of herpetofauna, stranding response and population assessments of marine mammals and turtles, and the ecotoxicology of metals. Come learn some more about our natural world!
