What can you find in the forest that is brown and sticky? A stick of course! Stick play is an easy way to start getting children involved in the nature around them. Join us for this nature-themed program for 3- to 5-year-olds as we try to build tiny fairy homes, pick up sticks and make our own wands and walking sticks.
Fee: Free!
Age: Ages 3-5. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.
Registration required by Sunday, Sept. 7, by calling 708-946-2216 or online: https://anc.apm.activecommunities.com/fpdwc/activity/search/detail/9705?onlineSiteId=0&from_original_cui=true
Be prepared for indoor and outdoor activities, including a story, hike, games and crafts. We encourage experiencing the outdoors in all weather, so please dress accordingly.
Outdoor activities may take place on natural surfaces across uneven terrain. Plum Creek Nature Center is an accessible facility. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online ( https://www.reconnectwithnature.org/americans-with-disabilities-act-information/request-accommodation-inclusion-service/) no later than 48 hours before the program.
