Peter Bisuto aka "My Big Funny Peter" and the Pride Center are holding its very first Crochet Circle...CROCHETING WITH PRIDE.
Did you know that many health institutions have confirmed that crocheting helps reduce stress and anxiety, lowers blood pressure and offers dozens of other health benefits? And did you also know that all therapists confirm that sharing personal experiences in a safe & welcoming environment is one of the best mental health activities you can do?
So we've decided to marry the two! Crocheting AND sharing in a non-judgmental and non-threatening environment to promote health and wellness to our community.
Topic of conversation will be:
"WHAT'S THE FUNNIEST THING THAT'S EVER HAPPENED TO YOU?"
Bring your yarn, crochet hooks and funny stories to share with the group! If you don't know how to crochet you are still welcome. Search crocheting for beginners on YouTube for many tutorial videos. It's very easy to learn.
You may also knit, needlepoint, latch hook or whatever craft you are most comfortable with!
Tickets are only $10 which goes directly to The Pride Center.
