This full day retreat at Lotus Pond is open to all levels! No pre-requisites (except a willingness to laugh, be silly, and have fun!)
Step into "beginner's mind" in the Pause & Play Movement Retreat, a day of movement, mindfulness, and joyful curiosity.
This playful day retreat invites you to reconnect with your body, awaken your inner spark, and explore the present moment through lighthearted yoga, embodied practices, and mindful rest. Through intentional movement and a sense of childlike wonder, you'll rediscover the simple joy of being in your body and in tune with nature.
Studio Co-Owner, Katie Beene, poured her playful and lighthearted spirit into the creation of this full day immersion at Lotus Pond Yoga.
What to Expect:
- an energizing and uplifting all levels yoga practice in the morning
- group discussions and activities on intentional living
- learn mindfulness practices and activities to reduce stress and boost creativity
- enjoy a mindful lunch that you bring; light refreshments provided
- spend time in nature
- tap into your creative side
- playful and primal movements that boost connection with you and others
- learn how to use a hula hoop in familiar and unfamiliar ways through the lens of mindfulness and meditation
- gentle yoga practice to stretch & unwind
- grounding and relaxing meditation to end the day

About your Teacher:
Katie Beene, Lotus Pond Studio Co-Owner, ERYT 500, brings a deep love for yoga to every class she teaches. She guides students of all levels through a variety of yoga styles and through both group and individual sessions. A lover of nature and mindfulness, Katie finds inspiration in the world around her, bringing a grounded, holistic approach to her yoga practice both on and off the mat. She enjoys cross-training in dance, sports, and other playful and primal movements, always infusing her movement with the wisdom of yoga. Her classes are a space for growth, self-discovery, and connection, where students are encouraged to explore their own path with curiosity and compassion. Katie believes that mindful movement practices can transform lives, and her teaching reflects her commitment to sharing these practices in an accessible, warm, and supportive way.
