While the monks and nuns are on their 3 month Rains Retreat, Be Quiet will take a break from our regular Mindfulness Meet-ups and be hosting some mindfulness-based social events.
Join us for a trip to Bodhinyana Monastery in Serpentine to meet the monks, see where they live and offer dana (food) for lunch, including the ritual of rice giving.
Meet at Dhammaloka Buddhist Centre in Nollamara for carpooling at 8:30am. Or, if you prefer to make your own way there, meet at Bodhinyana Monastery in Serpentine at 10am. If you do not have a car and join us for carpooling, please be aware we may not be able to accommodate everyone as this is a casual arrangement.
PLEASE BRING: a plate of food to offer for dana
PLEASE READ: guidelines for visiting Bodhinyana - https://bswa.org/our-locations/visiting-bodhinyana/
Be Quiet’s Mindfulness Meet-ups are for young mindfulness enthusiasts aged 18-35(ish). We meet with a monastic once a month to practice meditation together & have discussions inspired by Buddhist teachings, while being inclusive of everyone’s spiritual practices.

Be Quiet wish to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land we will meet on, the Whadjuk people. We wish to acknowledge and respect their continuing culture and the contribution they make to the life of this city and this region, and pay respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging.
