End & Celebration of “Pressing On” Exhibition

Pressing On” is the latest and final exhibition at The Apothecary Gallery. Gallery owner and printmaker, Patrick Whitehead, has invited 6 of his fellow printmakers to join him in this final exhibition to celebrate printmaking in all its forms.
“Pressing On” can mean many things including pressing on when creating a print, pressing on as in carrying on regardless and pressing on is in the context of time is pressing on. For me time is pressing on and I want to press on with many other things (including my printmaking) as time passes by so quickly.
Setting up the gallery has been an absolute joy and it’s been a passion project rather than a commercial venture. I’ve met so many wonderful people and connected with so many great artists. Bradford really had such a vibrant and supportive art community and especially here in the village of Thornton. It’s been a privilege to show other artist work in the gallery and for many of the artists to become friends too. I’m looking forward to continuing these connections and friendships in the future.

There will be a celebration of the exhibition and the gallery when it closes on Sunday, 3rd August from 12 noon to 5pm. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible. Thank you!
