Butternut Valley has organized a series of events for New Brunswick's annual 'Love Your Covered Bridge' event!
On July 29th from 11am till 2pm, the Kennebecasis Watershed Restoration Committee will be at Salmon Covered Bridge (129 Smiths Creek Road, Roachville) demonstrating how bioindicators (river bugs & mussels) help us better understand and protect our waterways! Drop in at any time during the event to see some creepy crawlies (called benthic macroinvertebrates) and view freshwater mussels in their natural habitat using bathyscopes.
All ages are welcome to this free event. Come prepared to be near the water, so rubber boots and/or waders are recommended, but not required.
