Johnstown Arts & Music will present a free concert in the park featuring Monkberry, with Michael Francis McCarthy opening.
Monkberry brings good music and vibes with a lineup of mostly Broadalbin music teachers and students. They play mostly “yacht rock” and laid back music to enjoy with the whole family.
Michael Francis McCarthy is an American roots troubador who blends delta blues, bluegrass, early country, traditional folk, 70s jam, Bolivian folklore and thrash influences in authentic performances featuring rich guitar work, powerful vocals, fresh original material and carefully-selected deep cuts.
The show will begin at 7 pm in the park on West Main Street.
In the event of rain, it will move indoors at St. John’s Episcopal Church, adjacent to the park.
The Johnstown Midsummer Series is made possible with funds from the City of Johnstown and donations from numerous local private donors.
