Learn more about the the tools, timing, and techniques needed to successfully transform large plots of turf grass into thriving wildflower meadows for monarchs and other pollinators THIS SATURDAY, July 19 from 9-10 a.m. at the Licking County Soil & Water Conservation District office at 771 E. Main Street in Newark. Join biologists from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as they demonstrate the same habitat restoration methods they utilize on thousands of acres across Ohio. This hands-on demonstration will take place on a large patch of turf next to the Licking Soil & Water Conservation District office, which is being restored as pollinator habitat through the Meadows for Monarchs Project.
