Costume Design Classes for Kids!

Itβs NEVER too early to think Halloween at the Spindle where making our creative ideas come to life and WEARING them is totally just a normal thing around here! π§ββοΈπ»π«
When it comes to kids and costumes we know a few things:
- kids LOVE to pretend and play dress up (and its SO good for them)
- costumes can be pricey so at least when they make their own they will gain a lifelong skill and get so much more out of the experience! And you will get more out of your investment ;)
- kids love making new friends and getting creative
- we make the making FUN because designing and sewing are awesome tools to have
π Sign up now! Class sizes are limited to 5 students per session
There are 15 weeks and 45 classes left until Halloween so let's get sewing! With the purchase of your 10 class package, you will have 3 different days and times to choose from, and at less than $50 per workshop!
Choose to book your Appointments on Thursdays 430 - 6p, Saturdays 11a-1230p or Sundays 1p-230p
Kids will work at their own pace and be guided individualy, getting to design and sew whatever costume they want! We provide the purposeful support along the way.
Classes best suited for ages 7 to 13
Inquire about opportunities for ages 6 and under and 14 and up! We host private sessions, create custom designs and host special workshops.

Costume Class Outline/Objectives:
1 - Come up with costume ideas and organize them
2 - Design! Students learn fashion design and illustration techniques
3 - Plan and source fabric, notions and appropriate patterns
4 - Get to Creating! Students learn about fabric patterns, cut and sew
5 - Learn the sewing machine
6 - Stitch practice
7 - Sewing
8 - Sewing
9 - Sewing
10 - FINISH!
