Jack Welker (Medicine Jack) began his journey with sound in 2003. The journey began at a gathering with Cosmic Throat Singer Matthew Kocel, while hearing the singing bowls and vocal overtones he had a soul remembrance. With attending Matthew’s Sound Journeys and studying under Matthew Jack developed his own style of Toning and Throat Singing. Around 2006 Jack began hosting events. Using vocal overtones, throat singing, and his natural voice along with metal and crystal singing bowls, medicine drum conch shell, Sub Atomic Gong, and other musical instruments he facilitates in attendees a meditative state of being that allows the mind to declutch and for the natural healing processes of the body to be activated.
The sonic resonance brings the participant to a place where emotional, mental, and physical resets can occur. The frequencies of the instruments and Jack’s vocal overtones can go straight to the source of disharmony in the body to shatter out the things that no longer serve.
Born Montana Jack grew up in Shelby.
Medicine Jack resides in Longmont Colorado and holds events at his home and throughout the Denver metro area.
