Artist Statement
Recent works comprise a series which explore the aesthetic qualities of the tension between human imposed design and natural entropy sometimes seen as decay or chaos.
They express humankind imposing a sense of order over nature, of which we are a part, whilst the natural organic forces are working back over that. These works seek harmony between the order imposed by humans and entropy from natural sources.”
The new exhibition Harmony in Order and Chaos incorporates Series Two in this Body of Work.
It displays how we see ourselves as humans seeking order in the randomness around us, whilst we often see chaos in the natural sometimes entropic systems allows us to view our environmental structures in a more playful way.
Series Two works seek to find harmony between us, as humans, and our natural environment.
