Glen Foster will teach you the tools and skills you need to start writing your very own song in this 1 hour workshop!

I discuss the tools and skills necessary to write songs. I use a guitar to demonstrate the fundamentals of musical composition. I give vocal examples of how to create a melody.
I discuss approaches to take in authoring relevant lyrics to accompany your music. I demonstrate a number of 'devices' that are used in both lyrical and instrumental composing. I also touch on copyright, publishing, registering and protecting original music. I often field questions pertaining to the topics I cover. I typically perform one of my compositions from beginning to end, primarily to demonstrate dynamics and execution techniques.
