Buckham Gallery cordially invites you to meet Detroit-based painter Caitlin Cartwright on Saturday, August 2, from 2 to 4 PM for an informal meet and greet.
Ms. Cartwright’s solo exhibition, "What Remains," features vibrant narrative works combining painting, drawing, and collage to explore the stories that connect people across cultures and experience. Many years spent living and working with grassroots community work in locales such as Madagascar, Namibia, India, as well as multiple places within the US, influence both the emotional and geographical scope of her pieces.
The exhibition opens July 18 and will run through August 15, 2025, alongside shows by Mayuko Ono Gray and Heather Kaplin, as part of the Late Summer Exhibitions at Buckham Gallery.
We hope to see you there.
The gallery will be open from 12 to 5 PM on Saturday, August 2, 2025. Other Saturdays are by appointment.
Buckham Fine Arts Project is supported in part by an award from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, the Community Foundation of Greater Flint, and the Greater Flint Arts Council Share Art Genesee Grant Program made possible by the Genesee County Arts Education and Cultural Enrichment Millage funds. Your tax dollars are at work!
