(11 AM to 1 PM on each day - 19, 20 and 21 Sep)
What does it mean to surrender to riyaaz—not as routine, but as ritual?
In this extraordinary and rare masterclass, Begum Parween Sultana, one of India’s greatest vocalists, invites participants into the sacred, often lonely space of riyaaz and the lifelong process of shaping the voice.
Begum Parween Sultana will share the principles and techniques of voice culture, and how daily discipline shapes a voice that not only performs, but moves. Drawing from decades of practice and deep research into both Indian and global vocal traditions, she will guide participants to embrace the rigour of riyaaz and approach music as both art and sadhana. One essential requirement: every participant must sing—so that the time spent can be as focused, personal, and effective as possible.
This workshop is for trained vocalists from any genre and is the rarest of opportunities to learn from an artiste who embodies a lifetime of voice culture and riyaaz—someone whose music is living proof of what unwavering practice can achieve.
