Divine Service- God’s Word is all I need!

We face so many distractions in life. Only one thing is truly needed. God’s Word.
But what about food on my table? My health? Paying the bills? Food. Medical care. Money. We need all those things - and more!
When we listen to God’s Word, the Lord assures us that he takes care of all those needs in the way and in the time he sees best. And when it comes to our biggest need - forgiveness for our sins - God’s Word assures us that he takes care of that need as well. Jesus came into this world to suffer and die for all the times we have let worldly things distract us from sitting down at our Savior’s feet to listen to God’s Word, for all our misplaced priorities, and for all our needless worries.
Our prayer this week is that the Lord gives us an undivided attention to the one thing needed - God’s Word.
